Attention content creators and entrepreneurs! Your Instagram posts are now showing up on Google.

The big news in the social media world recently, is that Google and other search engines have started indexing Instagram posts in search results.

That means if someone searches for a specific topic on Google, your pictures, videos, and Reels from Instagram can come up in the results.

The update only works for public Instagram business or creator accounts. Personal accounts and private posts, stories, highlights, and posts from users under 18 won’t be shown. Also, it only shows posts made after January 1, 2020.

Still, this is great news for small business owners and content creators. More people can find your posts, even if they don’t follow you on Instagram. Normally, your posts were mostly seen by your followers. Now, anyone using Google might see your content.

That’s a huge opportunity to grow your page or business.

It also helps your posts last longer. Usually, Instagram posts disappear fast from people’s feeds. But now, they can stay on Google for weeks or even months. That’s good for creators and business owners.

You don’t have to post every day to stay visible. Your older posts can still be found. It just means you have to up your SEO strategy for IG.

Google is analysing captions, hashtags, and even alt-text to understand your posts. So, being smart and clear with words will increase the likelihood of your posts showing up in search.

But if you don’t want your posts to show up on Google, that’s cool too. You can turn this setting off in your Instagram account. Or you can switch to a private or personal account.

This new update is exciting for people who want to grow their page or business. It gives them a bigger audience without paying for ads. But it also means being more careful about what you post.

And that’s the bottom line.
