7 more companies seek virtual AGMs

The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) is heading back to Court on November 25 to seek approval for seven more listed companies to host their annual general meetings (AGMs) virtually in light of the continued control measures for COVID-19.

In June, the JSE successfully lobbied for 16 public companies to hold their AGMs fully or partially by electronic means.

The new set of companies being represented by the JSE are:

  1.  Wisynco Group,
  2. NCB Financial Group
  3. KLE Group
  4. Everything Fresh
  5. Ciboney Group
  6. Caribbean Assurance Brokers
  7. Jamaica Broilers Group

The JSE petition also seeks an order to have its own upcoming extraordinary general meeting held virtually.
